Monday Beavers Mark 40 Years of Beaver Scouts With Games, Friendship and Cake

Date: 24th Apr 2026 Author: Scout Websites
The Monday Beavers celebrated the 40th anniversary of Beaver Scouts with an evening full of fun, friendship and plenty of cake—an idea the young< people proudly came up with themselves.

During the previous week’s session, the colony gathered in a “Beaver Forum” to decide how they wanted to mark this special milestone. After sharing ideas, voting, and a lot of excited chatter, they agreed that the perfect celebration would involve inviting friends, playing their favourite games, and ending the night with a birthday style treat.

Their plan came to life this week as the hall filled with Beavers and the friends they had chosen to bring along. The young people led the way, showing their guests how to play classic Beaver games, from fast paced team challenges to silly, laughter filled activities that had everyone joining in. The atmosphere was buzzing as new friendships formed and visitors got a taste of what makes Beaver Scouts such a welcoming and energetic community.

The celebration ended with a special moment: everyone gathered together to share cake and mark four decades of Beaver Scouting. Leaders said they were especially proud that the Beavers had shaped the event themselves, demonstrating confidence, teamwork, and a real sense of ownership. Many of the visiting children left eager to return, making the anniversary not just a celebration of the past 40 years, but a glimpse into the next generation of Beavers ready to join the adventure.
