Group Activities
There are lots of activities going on all through the year. The following are some of the regular events we hold:
January: Group party
Fun and games for the whole Group from 4pm to 9pm. Starting with games for Beavers and Cubs, then a tea party when they are joined by the Scouts for more laughter including the popular BOB's bus game.
April St Georges Day Parade
We join the rest of Ruislip District for our annual parade to renew our Scout promises. The route varies but usually involves bringing Ruislip to a standstill as hundreds of young people parade along the High Street.
May / June: The Big Camp. Beaver Bonanza
Each year we alternate between a big family camp and Ruislip District camp. Family camps are usually held on even numbered years, the District camp is on odd numbered years.
Beaver Bonanza is the County event for older Beavers and is held each year at Chalfont Heights our County campsite. See the Beaver section pages for details.
July: End of term water night
The last meeting of term is water night. Bring your water pistols, super soakers and loads of water bombs. Check out the Gallery pages for pictures of this years event.
August: Troop camp
The Scout Troop goes away for a whole week. Loads of fun and activities, check out the Scout section pages for more details.
November: Fireworks night
A traditional fireworks evening for families with young children. A bonfire complete with guys, fireworks, sparklers and with hot dogs, soup and mulled wine to look forward to at the end of the evening.
